The 2026 MotoGP French Grand Prix has reached its decisive moment. The thrilling weekend of competition at Le Mans will conclude this Sunday with the main race on the Bugatti Circuit, where riders will battle for the bulk of points in France.

The French track is one of the most iconic on the MotoGP calendar. With sharp corners and a narrow layout, riders must complete 27 laps—covering 113 kilometers—to cross the finish line, a significant challenge that could prove decisive in the world championship fight.

Located 5 kilometers south of Le Mans and 200 kilometers southwest of Paris, the circuit opened in 1965, built around the existing 24 Hours of Le Mans track. It can accommodate 100,000 spectators, who will flock to the venue to witness the MotoGP World Championship action. The most memorable moment in its history remains Alberto Puig’s crash in 1995, which forced the circuit to close until 2000.

The last race, the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez, ended with an untimely crash for Marc Márquez while he was leading Sunday’s race, allowing his brother Álex to claim a valuable victory. A major blow in terms of points for the elder Márquez, but positive feelings followed a weekend where Ducati responded to his needs. The nine-time world champion aims to bounce back this Sunday and secure a vital win in the championship battle.
