Enho (31, Isegahama stable) returned to the juryo division for the first time in three years as the West No. 14 ranked wrestler, securing his third consecutive victory on Day 3 of the Summer Grand Sumo Tournament at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo.

He defeated Takakento (Minatogawa stable) by oshidashi. Despite failing to deliver a strong initial charge, Enho reflected, “I endured and fought well. I wavered mid-match but managed to hold on.”

After suffering a severe spinal cord injury that forced him to withdraw mid-tournament during the 2023 Summer Grand Sumo Tournament, Enho sat out seven consecutive tournaments. He returned at the 2024 Nagoya Tournament after dropping to the jonokuchi division. In March 2025, he posted a 5-2 record at the makushita level, earning his return to the juryo division for the first time since the 2023 Summer Grand Sumo Tournament.

Completing three days, Enho said, “Things are gradually piling up, so I’ll manage my condition and take it day by day.” He is preparing for the remaining 12 days while monitoring his health. “I go to bed as early as 10 PM. I can’t maintain my stamina without sleep. If I can get about 10 hours of sleep,” he said, emphasizing the importance of rest as he competes in the juryo division for the first time in three years.
