Barcelona’s Champions Parade: Yamal Waves Palestine Flag, Lewandowski and Szczesny Enjoy Ice Cream on the Bus

Barcelona celebrated their second consecutive La Liga title after securing it early in El Clasico. The club organized a parade through the city streets, which turned into a vibrant spectacle. Robert Lewandowski and Wojciech Szczesny rode on top of the team bus, while Lamine Yamal posed with a T-shirt mocking Real Madrid—and not only that.

**Yamal’s Provocation**

On May 11, the team departed from Camp Nou on an open-top bus, slowly making its way through Barcelona. Thousands of fans packed the streets to celebrate the Blaugrana’s triumph. Supporters pressed close to the vehicle, constantly trying to hand players various items: jerseys, scarves, and flags flew toward the bus.

Some items disappeared in the festive chaos, while others instantly became part of the championship parade. Yamal stood out the most: the young midfielder caught a Barcelona shirt with the text: “Thank God I’m not a Madridista.”

The message clearly amused him, and he immediately showed the jersey to teammate Joao Cancelo. Yamal then waved it around and danced, sparking an enthusiastic reaction from the crowd. Impressed by the loud support, he shared his emotions: “It’s incredible—they are always with us, on important days and less important ones. We have to appreciate every trophy we win, because they don’t come easily.”

Yamal didn’t stop there—photos and videos circulated widely on social media showing him waving a Palestinian flag.

Head coach Hansi Flick, whose father passed away on the day of El Clasico, also took part in the celebration. The German coach actively interacted with players and even fired a large confetti cannon into the crowd.

Special attention from fans focused on Szczesny and Lewandowski, who climbed onto the bus roof. There, they weren’t bored: they admired the views and ate ice cream. The goalkeeper didn’t hesitate to smoke on camera either. The only minor annoyance was low-hanging tree branches that occasionally grazed the Poles.

They had a funny exchange, during which the goalkeeper seemed to hint at the striker’s future options.

Szczesny: “Will you stay at Barcelona? There are more Poles here than in Chicago. And in Turin, there’s only [Arkadiusz] Milik.”

Lewandowski: “Right now, I’m just enjoying this championship.”

Szczesny: “But I have a 100% win rate in the league at Barça—two titles out of two. You’ve got 75%, Levi!”

Lewandowski: “But with Bayern, my league win percentage was the highest.”

Szczesny: “I also had 100% at Arsenal. Though that was for loss percentage—not a single win.”

Overall, no one was unhappy at the event. Only joyful faces were present.

“I’m enjoying this moment together with everyone who came to support us,” shared Pau Cubarsi. “We are very happy. Let’s celebrate together as one big family. It wasn’t easy to find our rhythm at the beginning, but we had a great season. The fans really feel connected to us. We are a team that desperately wants to achieve great success.”

As the sun set, fans put on a fiery show around the bus with flares and fireworks.

“Thank you for this unique party, friends! For many more such moments ahead!” Barcelona wrote on social media.
