The General Administration of Sport of China and the Chinese Olympic Committee have sent a congratulatory letter to the Chinese Table Tennis Association, celebrating the national team’s outstanding performance at the 2026 World Team Table Tennis Championships in London.
In the letter, the authorities praised the women’s team for successfully defending the Corbillon Cup and securing a seventh consecutive world team title, while the men’s team extended their record by winning the Swaythling Cup for the 12th straight time. Together, they upheld the honor of Chinese table tennis.
“During this competition, you united as one, fought with courage, and once again demonstrated exceptional skills, strong will, and a great spirit. You vividly embodied the Olympic values and the Chinese sportsmanship, fully showcasing the responsibility and dedication of China’s new-generation athletes,” the letter stated.
The authorities encouraged the team to remain humble, continue striving for national glory, climb new competitive heights, and contribute to building a stronger sports nation.
The letter was jointly issued by the General Administration of Sport of China and the Chinese Olympic Committee on May 11, 2026.
