Bristol City Women have named Hannah Buckley as their new chief executive officer.

Buckley succeeds Lowri Roberts, who had overseen the club on an interim basis since December following the takeover by Mercury13. With previous experience at the Women’s Super League and the Football Association, Buckley will officially join the club in June as preparations for the 2026-27 season begin.
“Hannah brings strategic vision, operational excellence, and a deep knowledge of the women’s game,” said board director and Mercury13 co-founder Mario Malave. “As we continue building for long-term success, her leadership will be key to shaping a club ready to compete at the highest possible level for years to come.”
Bristol City finished fourth in the WSL 2 table this season, seven points behind the top two in manager Charlotte Healy’s first campaign in charge.
