The 19-year-old Russian tennis player, silver medalist in women’s doubles at the 2024 Olympics and world No. 7, Mirra Andreeva, shared her thoughts on her plans to attend university.
“Yes, I’m no longer in school—I’ve graduated. And of course I want to go to university, but I want to enroll only when I actually have time to study and learn something, not just to pass exams and meet deadlines for the sake of it. I truly want this, but I don’t even know yet what I want to study, so I’m going to take some time to figure out which field and which university I’m interested in. Then we’ll move forward from there. But I want to have at least a little bit of time to genuinely focus on my education,” Andreeva said in an interview with Championat correspondent Daniil Salnikov.
