Formula 1 may be in a three-week break until the Canadian Grand Prix (May 22-24) at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, but that doesn’t mean Max Verstappen is taking a vacation. The Red Bull driver will compete in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring on May 16-17 at the iconic Nordschleife circuit, driving a Mercedes-AMG GT3 for the German manufacturer.
The Dutchman will make his debut in the classic German endurance race, and the presence of the four-time world champion has not gone unnoticed. For the first time in the history of the event, which has been held since 1970, all weekend tickets have been sold out, as announced by the organizers on social media.
The 54th edition of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring has seen unprecedented demand thanks to Verstappen’s debut at the ‘Green Hell.’ The organization warns that no tickets will be available at the box office on Saturday before the race starts, advising fans not to travel to the iconic circuit in the Eifel region without tickets. Those who have purchased tickets are encouraged to arrive early.
However, there is still a chance to see Max Verstappen behind the wheel of the GT3 this weekend, as day tickets for Thursday, Friday, and Sunday are still available—though not for the full race. Last year already set a record attendance with over 280,000 fans at the circuit, and in 2026, the number is expected to be even higher.

Verstappen will share the Mercedes with Dani Juncadella, Jules Gounon, and Lucas Auer in a GT3 category featuring more than 40 entrants among the total of 161 cars that will take the start on Saturday, May 16 at 15:00 Spanish peninsular time, witnessed by thousands of spectators.
