These student-athletes were recognized as Hometeam Central Mass. Athletes of the Week in their respective sports, thanks to the sponsorship of the YMCA.

Last week’s Central Mass. baseball season featured a host of standout performances, and Tommy Cassell selected the best of them for readers to cast their votes and determine the Hometeam Baseball Player of the Week.

Congratulations to West Boylston’s Jameson Lapointe, who claimed the top spot in the previous week’s poll with 10,020 votes, outpacing Leicester’s Robert O’Neil (4,681 votes) and Auburn’s Bryce Everson (1,302 votes).

The nominees were chosen based on performances reported by area coaches to the Hometeam Scoreboard. Coaches and administrators are encouraged to submit game results and highlights nightly by calling the T&G sports desk at 508-793-9350 or emailing [email protected].

**Adam Adams, Quabbin** – Adams threw 103 pitches, striking out eight and allowing just one earned run on seven hits over seven innings, leading the host Panthers to a 3-1 win over Narragansett. He also went 3-for-4 with a run scored.

**Andrew Beauregard, Gardner** – The senior struck out 11 over six innings and went 3-for-4 at the plate, powering the visiting Wildcats to a 5-2 victory over Narragansett.

**Jonah Beauregard, Bancroft** – Beauregard went 3-for-5 with a home run and five RBIs, propelling the Bulldogs to a 20-3 rout of Gann Academy.

**Gabriel Castillo, Worcester Tech** – Castillo recorded 13 strikeouts while surrendering just one run on two hits over seven innings, lifting the host Eagles to a 9-1 win over Southbridge.

**Sam Dalpe, Hopedale** – Dalpe was 4-for-6 with three runs scored as the Blue Raiders overpowered Millis, 21-6.

**Cam Fields, Millbury** – Fields tossed a no-hitter with five walks and five strikeouts in a 5-0 shutout of AMSA.

**Jonah Gaboriault, Groton-Dunstable** – Gaboriault went 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs, helping the Crusaders cruise to an 11-1 win over Marlborough.

**Josh Giancola, Nipmuc** – Giancola fired a two-hitter, striking out six, and went 2-for-3 with two runs in a 12-2 win over cross-street rival BVT. He then added a 3-for-3 performance with a home run in a 13-0 victory over Bartlett.

**Austin Gibbons, St. Bernard’s** – Gibbons threw a two-hitter, fanning 13 and allowing one earned run as the visiting Bernardians erupted for 13 runs in the top of the seventh to down the Chargers, 15-2.

**Jeff Guzman, Oxford** – The senior allowed just one hit and struck out 10 over six innings, while going 3-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs in a 9-0 rout of Sutton.

**Bode Lee-Feinberg, Bromfield** – Lee-Feinberg singled, homered, and drove in four runs as the host Trojans edged Gardner, 11-10.

**Cole McGovern, Nipmuc** – McGovern struck out six in a six-hit shutout, adding a single and a two-run double in a 5-0 win over Hopedale. He later combined with two other pitchers on a three-hitter in a 13-0 victory over Bartlett.

**Liam McGrath, Quaboag** – McGrath recorded three hits and three RBIs while striking out 13 in six innings, leading the host Cougars to a 9-1 defeat of David Prouty.

**Owen Michalowski, Shrewsbury** – Michalowski fanned 10 in 6.1 innings, allowing five hits in a 1-0 win over Leominster, after going 3-for-4 with an RBI in a 6-2 victory over Shepherd Hill.

**Avery Miller, Hopedale** – Miller singled, doubled, and drove in four runs while scoring four times, sparking the Blue Raiders to a 21-6 win over Millis.

**Anthony Moura, Hudson** – The senior struck out seven and did not allow an earned run in 10.1 innings pitched, also adding a single and a double at the plate.
