The number two ranked UFC middleweight, French-Dagestani fighter Nassourdine Imavov, has sent a pointed message to newly crowned UFC 185-pound champion Sean Strickland of the United States.
“I’m told I take things too personally. And they’re right. Religion, family, nation… These aren’t marketing tools for me. Every insult has a price. And you will pay! There will be no happy ending,” Imavov wrote on his social media account X.
The first bout between Imavov and Strickland took place at a UFC event in January 2023. Strickland stepped in as a replacement for the injured Kelvin Gastelum. The fight went the full five rounds, with Sean winning by unanimous decision.
Imavov has previously vowed to knock out Strickland in a potential rematch.
